Students learning AutoCAD LT
could wonder how different it is from regular AutoCAD.
For most 2D drawing applications, the answer is “not much different at all.” The
AutoCAD LT lacks some of the high-end features of its
parent program, notably AutoLISP programming capability
and 3D solid modeling. For the great majority of users
however, LT will appear every bit as powerful and sophisticated
as AutoCAD itself. Consequently, learning AutoCAD LT
is just as much of a challenge as learning AutoCAD.
The objective of Introduction to AutoCAD LT 2007 is
to make the student familiar with the basic concepts
and techniques of 2D drawing in AutoCAD LT. Not every
drawing or editing command is presented but enough key
tools are covered that the student will gain a solid
grasp of how the program works and be able to create
a basic 2D drawing.
